This is a great memory from the past. My first daughter's wedding. Verna Joyce Hall to William Howard Cobb. I made her dress and all the attendants dresses---while working 9 hours a day in the Adelphian Academy Mill. HOW? I have no idea except God gave me the energy. It was a beautiful wedding in the A.A. Gym. We used trellis and urns and archways made at the mill. John Duman worked at the mill too and he was a great help planning and getting it all done. My three sisters took care of the gift table. Those dresses were white dotted swiss over pastel taffeta. Each dress in a different pastel color or shade of colors. red evening dress
Verna wore her dress every anniversary for more years than I know. We finally used some of it to make a replica for a doll. Her younger daughter has it now. Maybe she will post a copy of it for us.
